DUMBO is a neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY, whose name is an acronym that stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. The idea for this project was to express everything this neighborhood is about, the dynamism of life, forms, growth, colors, and much more.
Dumby, the italian-looking ice-cream-eating upside-down-umbrella-riding trash can, is the underdog character that represents the neighbourhood, born out of a collage of paraphernalia found in the streets of DUMBO. In this video, Dumby runs into a few obstacles but is finally able to escape the husble and bustle of Manhattan and make across the river back to his dreamy home in DUMBO.
