Mexico City is estimated to run out of water within the next 50 years due to infrastructure issues. Women in marginalized
communities are caught at the heart of this problem, but would also be key elements in leading social change if only were better empowered.
With that in mind, we created CoLab, a social start-up concept that offers design thinking solutions with the intent to curate relationships that better our planet, by bridging on-ground
grassroots initiatives with sustainable product innovators and their users.
For this concept project, CoLab chooses to partner with Rubbermaid to create rain barrels in order to promote better water usage habits in urban areas, while putting a portion of the proceeds in on-ground NGOs across Mexico City to make change happen.
